Carefully paced for acclimatization, this itinerary includes reliable transport, curated stays, and trusted adventure operators, ensuring safety while maximizing thrills. Ideal for active travelers seeking crisp mountain air, epic vistas, and unforgettable Himalayan challenges.
Arrive at IXB Bagdogra/NJP and transfer to Gangtok (4–5 hrs). Check in, rest, and complete permit formalities for North Sikkim. Evening Gangtok Ropeway ride for sweeping ridge views and a stroll across MG Marg’s cafés. Adventure briefing and gear check for next days.
Morning transfer to Baliman Dara for a tandem paragliding flight (weather-permitting) over Gangtok’s rolling ridgelines. After lunch, drive to Melli/Rangpo stretch for Grade II–III Teesta River rafting with certified guides and helmets/PFDs. Return to Gangtok; optional mountain-biking taster trail (subject to time) or café crawl.
Drive to Lachen (2,600 m; 6–7 hrs) via Singhik Viewpoint and Seven Sisters Waterfall. Light hikes and photo stops en route. Check in, hydrate, and acclimatize. Evening village walk and stargazing if skies are clear. Early dinner and rest for a pre-dawn start.
Pre-dawn drive to Gurudongmar Lake (5,430 m) for a breathtaking high-altitude visit—short, mindful walk by the lakeshore; strict time limits for safety. Return to Lachen for brunch, then continue to Lachung (2–3 hrs). En route stop at Bhim Nala Waterfall. Overnight in Lachung.
Post-breakfast drive to Yumthang Valley (Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary). Optional short hikes and riverbank exploration. Continue to Zero Point (Yumesamdong; road/permits/weather permitting) for snow play and panoramic ridge views. Drive back to Gangtok (5–6 hrs). Evening at leisure.
Scenic transfer to Pelling (4–5 hrs). Visit Chenrezig Skywalk for glass-bottom thrills and postcard views. Explore Rimbi and Kanchenjunga Falls; optional guided rappelling/zipline if operational with licensed outfitters. Walk the dramatic Singshore Suspension Bridge. Overnight in Pelling.
Check out and transfer to NJP/IXB (5–6 hrs). Time permitting, add an optional Rangeet River rafting detour near Legship with prior arrangement. Trip ends with memories of Sikkim’s most stirring adventures.
Paragliding and rafting are weather-dependent; operations may halt on short notice. Gurudongmar (5,430 m) involves extreme altitude—strictly not advised for guests with cardiac/respiratory issues, pregnant travelers, or children below 5 years. Hydrate, avoid alcohol, and follow your guide’s instructions. Foreign nationals may face restrictions for Gurudongmar; alternate excursion to Chopta Valley will be arranged where applicable.
Carry valid government photo IDs. Indian nationals need permits for North Sikkim; foreign nationals require PAP and may have sector restrictions. Submit ID copies and passport-size photos a day before departure for processing.
Layered warm clothing, windproof jacket, thermal innerwear (especially Oct–Mar), rain shell (May–Sep), trekking shoes with good grip, cap, gloves, sunglasses, SPF 50 sunscreen, lip balm, personal medicines, reusable water bottle, and power bank.
Adventure-friendly seasons are Mar–Jun and Oct–Dec. Monsoon (Jul–Sep) can bring landslides and activity cancellations.
